A medium sized Gold operation with LOM out to 10 years will allow you run the mining production whilst having a big input into the strategic direction of this operation and future developments.

Due to a strong internal promotion a role like this is rarely available to outsiders. With a small gap in the otherwise strong engineering group comes an opportunity for a technically strong engineer to utilise their flair for management. Working alongside senior management naturally your strengths will lie in underground mining activities, including planning, technical advice, budgeting, mine projects and financial aspects while also operating as an integral member of the management team reporting to the General Manager. The key benefit of this role though is the advancement opportunities. The last UG Manager was moved to the GM position within 18 months and with the long LOM and constant expansion the same or similar paths will be available for the next UG Manager. With the expansion of the Underground Mine, a position has become available for a dedicated Mining Engineer to take a pivotal technical/ production role in directing the development of the underground mine as the Alternate Underground Manager

Strong Technical skills are required as responsibilities will include the Project management for the design and planning of new expansion, Financial analysis and Optimisation of existing mining methods.

This Senior Production Position is anticipated to attract quality candidates with at least 5 years experience of which 2 would have been within previous production monitoring positions ensuring budgeted tonnes met and exceeded.

This position reports to the Manager Mining and offers excellent career prospects for a UGM promotion within 12 months for a qualified Senior Mining Engineer in the market for a challenging operations posting within a sociable FIFO environment.
